All members of the community are invited to a potluck hors d'oeuvre and cookie party at the Town Hall. Bring the entire family to review the Plan, maps and documents which will be submitted to the County Board of Supervisors on behalf of the Community of Mokelumne Hill.

Please come join us at the Mokelumne Hill Library on the first and third Friday of each month for our local Children's Hour. We offer a variety of activities for all ages, including reading/stories/literacy activities, songs and motor skills activities, arts and crafts, snacks, and simply a time for fun and sharing. All ages are welcome.

Old mining town still finds life
Area families protect history, find enjoyment

PALOMA - A century after the industrial economy in this town abruptly collapsed, things are, well, pretty good.

True, there are few jobs, no stores and lots of abandoned well shafts and basements from all the former saloons, churches and homes that burned down over the years.
